Overview

PetroChoice , a leading distributor of lubricants, oils, fluids, and greases is currently recruiting a Commercial Lube System Sales Manager to target passenger vehicle and on-highway commercial lubricant systems and equipment sales in Des Moines, IA and surrounding markets.

In this key role, you will be working directly with construction and agriculture customers to promote and sell auto lube systems and equipment. To be successful in this role you must work on establishing excellent relationships with customers by assisting customers with machine management through proper lubrication using lube systems and providing solutions for best lubrication practices. Providing accurate information and timely follow-up is critical to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Maintain customer records and track opportunities in a contact interface, to include tracking sales process

  • Prepares accurate and timely quotes for customers on new and used equipment
  • Track and maintain availability listings for equipment
  • Prepares sales contracts for obtained orders and submits those orders for processing
  • Develop a territory coverage plan including budget, competitive analysis and forecasting
  • Manage customer equipment issues and questions by researching and providing customers with recommendations
  • Collaborates with various departments and groups during the sales process, encouraging team selling
  • Evaluates sales deals from a comprehensive business perspective
  • Works closely with CSRs and Branch personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues
  • Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors (added to all job descriptions company-wide)
  • Meets and responds to the needs of assigned customers in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintains a proficient level of mechanical aptitude and understanding of products and services
  • Prepares customer quotes for the sale of a lube system, lube, or services
  • Identifies prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
  • Answers customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
  • Emphasizes product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities
  • Completes lube system inspections and documents potential issues
  • Resolves customer issues both within and out of the direct sales process

Qualifications

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have strong problem solving abilities, excellent customer service skills, along with strong oral and written communication skills. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint are essential.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in the petroleum industry, preferably selling auto lube systems and equipment. This position requires self-motivation with the ability to work from home. A 2-year (Associate’s) degree and at least 2 years of experience in an outside sales position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
