Truck/TrailerTechnician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on tractor trailer units, petroleum bulk tankers, and heavy duty trucks. Mechanic completes all needed repairs keeping quality, safety, and expediency on forefront. Technician is the service provider as well as diagnostic technician and troubleshooter for drivers and driver managers by ensuring needs are met through effective communication on all equipment repairs. Mechanic must work with Safety and Compliance personnel and drivers to improve vehicle out of service standards while ensuring compliance with DOT and Company requirements. Mechanic is responsible for processing work order paperwork, and maintaining service schedules to keep truck and trailer fleet in top operating condition.
Hours are 2pm-10:30pm 4 days a week and Saturday 6am-2:30pm.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or Diesel Technical school; or minimum one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
