SUMMARY  

The Digital Content Specialist will lead the development and execution of content strategies that will increase engagement across a variety of B2B and B2C digital properties such as our online store and corporate website. The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, and editing content (including graphic, video, and photographs) for PetroChoice’s website blogs, digital sales enablement collateral, and digital channels; including social media, email, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital ads. The Specialist will manage the content delivery system, create and update product descriptions, and will be responsible for seeking out sales people, technical support, and other internal stakeholders to learn, create, and ensure messaging is consistent and follows brand guidelines.

 

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing OR equivalent education and at least one year of experience along with:

  • At least one year of CMS experience, proficiency in Magento a PLUS
  • At least one year of copy-writing and copy editing experience
  • At least one year of experience using analytic applications to track and analyze web traffic
  • At least one year of experience in Search Engine Optimization and Search Marketing
  • Knowledge of HTML, DHTML and JavaScript programming language a PLUS but not required
  • Familiarity with B2C content marketing for e-commerce AND B2B content marketing
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Salesforce.com
  • Fluency in online content publishing
  • Ability to work with vendors and experience in Magento or similar platforms
  • Basic understanding of copyright laws

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.   • Developing, renewing, evolving, and maintaining web content and images for all digital platforms; including B2B and B2C digital properties. Specialist will assists with publishing product descriptions and creating landing pages.
  • Ensuring marketing objectives and creative initiatives are appropriately translated and applied to the web, social media outlets, emails, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital ads.
  • Responsible for tracking changes in content and ensuring links function properly and are correct.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders in identifying and obtaining information needed to carry out assignments.
  • Interacting with the platform development team to add trouble tickets and maintain efficiency of website.
  • Defining and driving solutions to identify and fix gaps in knowledge management content and system functionality.
  • Identifying out-of-date content for removal; coordinate with product leads to determine needs for revision or replacement.
  • Ensuring marketing objectives and creative initiatives are appropriately translated and applied to the web, social media outlets, emails, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital ads.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university with at least 1 year related experience.

 

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATH ABILITY:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software, Inventory software and experience working in an enterprise wide system. Experience working in and ERP environment is desirable.
