This is an 8:30 AM- 5 PM, Monday-Friday shift and flexibility is requested.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in bulk loading and unloading tank trucks and/or experience working in the lubricant or home heating oil industry; be familiar with shipping papers/manifests for bulk shipments; be detail oriented and possess math and reading skills.

Responsibilities

You will assist in preparing goods for packaging, warehousing and distribution by performing the following duties:

 

  • Loads, fills and labels drums, kegs, pails and other containers from bulk according to assignment in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Places containers on pallets for transport or stock
  • Picks and stages products to be loaded in delivery trucks according to the next day delivery schedule
  • Loads and secures products in delivery trucks according to manifest on a daily basis
  • Unloads delivery trucks in an efficient manner and stores products in appropriate area
  • Loads/unloads tank trucks into various compartments safely and efficiently
  • Completes and submits accurate records of products received and/or filled on a daily basis
  • Updates products that are loaded on all trucks and utilizes the load/unload slips
  • Retrieves and submits packing slips for products received in a timely fashion
  • Operates forklift, hand truck, pallet and electric jack as needed
  • Assists in tracking returned drum inventory
  • Completes accurate inventory
  • Other duties as assigned.

Computer Skills: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general computer knowledge.

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine reports, forms and correspondence. Ability to present information to customers or employees of organization.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or less than one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 1 year of forklift experience (sit-down)

At least 1 year of warehouse (operations) experience

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Forklift certification preferred
