PetroChoice, a leading distributor of lubricants, oils, fluids, and greases is currently recruiting a Web Operations Technical Specialist for our Ft. Washington, PA marketing department. The Web Operations Specialist will lead the efforts to create compelling ecommerce and B2B web platforms. They will lead PetroChoice’s website strategy and development, for multiple websites, while championing a data-driven approach that will support PetroChoice’s long term plans. The Web Operations Specialist will have a deep understanding of e-commerce/digital trends and experience in managing a technical partner that is responsible for development work. As a Web Operations Specialist you will lead the centralization and migration of multiple websites, domain names, technical partners and system administration. The candidate will also evaluate and provide technical direction for future web projects requiring design, development, and systems integrations with technical partners.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years experience managing technical/platform partner to build out ecommerce/website functionality, enhancements, and data integrations 
  • At least 3 years experience in eCommerce Web operations
  • Demonstrated project management and business analysis skills
  • Experience with Magento required
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing Content Management Systems and web platform technologies
  • Must have a deep understanding of web based applications, implementation methodologies, and a general technical aptitude
  • HTML and/or JavaScript experience is PLUS
  • Experience integrating web data with Salesforce a PLUS
  • Requires a bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the following:


  • Partner with corporate departments and external platform provider to insure the timely and accurate flow of information between the web site and corporate systems.
  • Oversee the evaluation of web solutions and provide direction to development/technical partners for upcoming initiatives including:
      • A project discovery phase to establish website requirements, planning, execution, and testing phases of systems integration dealing with multiple internal & external systems
  • Consolidate and centralize current website platforms, hosting vendors, and domains.
  • Design and develop wireframes, business requirements documentation, and work with internal IT team to create functional requirements documentation for website replatform project.
  • Work with the Content Specialist to input product assets, promotions, and pricing changes into the Magento ecommerce platform, while following best practices.
  • Partner with the PetroChoice IT team to develop new integration initiatives and drive online excellence.
  • Create solid, sustainable, and scalable processes to guide web executions.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university with at least 3 years related experience.



Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.



Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.



To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software, Inventory software and experience working in an enterprise wide system. Experience working in and ERP environment is desirable.
