PetroChoice, a leading distributor of lubricants, oils, fluids, and greases is currently recruiting a Business Intelligence Developer for our Ft. Washington, PA executive office. What You’ll Do:


  • Develop new and support existing ETL processes using industry-leading ETL tools.
  • Development and Integration of REST APIs
  • Develop Salesforce Apex Triggers and Classes as needed to support data integrations
  • Perform source system analysis as required.
  • Develop, test, and maintain tables, views, stored procedures, database triggers and SQL queries where needed.
  • Take ownership of our data and constantly improve its quality and integrity; proactively identify data quality issues at every step and coordinate with the appropriate teams and/or vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Conduct diagnosis of standard business problems, factoring in an understanding of current technical and applications architecture, and determine ways to solve those problems using data automation technologies.

The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for participating in the strategic design and maintenance of systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Ensures the integrity of the businesses data to enhance decision making. Responsible for the development of solutions to move and transform data needed throughout the information lifecycle. This position will work with business analysts, executives, and business stakeholders to deploy data integration automation. This role develops a deep familiarity with our myriad of data sources and becomes a fierce data guardian.


Required Credentials:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required along with a least 2 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Demonstration of excellent SQL skills and data lifecycle best practices.
  • Solid application design, coding, testing, maintenance and debugging skills
  • Experience with Salesforce Apex programming language, including triggers and test scripts.

Extra Credit:

  • Experience with Microsoft’s BI and reporting stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
  • Knowledge of T-SQL, DAX, MDX, or other data manipulation languages (DML)
  • Experience with database tables, views, stored procedures, and database triggers.
  • Visualization and Excel experience: Power BI, Pivot Tables, Power View, VLOOKUP’s, macros, dashboards.
  • Some proficiency with JavaScript, C# or any other programming languages
  • Experience with cloud passed ETL (IPaaS) tools.
  • Experience with ERP applications (Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), SAP)

Bachelor's degree (BS) from an accredited four-year College or University in the field of Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, and 2-5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.



Previous experience working with relational databases using SQL will be a strong advantage. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with deep familiarity using Excel to evaluate large datasets (i.e., using math, data, and statistical functions) and an ability to develop PowerPoint presentations.
