In fact, we distribute and offer our services from more than 50 locations in 32 states every day and include top brands of oils, greases, and other lubricants

     

    SUMMARY  

    The Senior Cloud Systems Engineer manages, designs, and maintains enterprise systems spanning over 50 locations and cloud services like Azure.

     

    Responsibilities

    IaaS:

    • Design and build Cloud environments to meet both performance and cost requirements.
    • Work with a team of engineers to develop and maintain corporate, multi-region, private cloud infrastructure running in Azure.
    • Ability to build, administer, and manage automated systems in Azure.
    • Monitor the operation of applications and infrastructure hosted within Azure.

    Virtualization:

    • Strong knowledge of virtualization including Hyper-V, VMware, and Azure.
    • Strong knowledge of migrating Hyper-V VMs and VMware VMs from on-premise to Azure.
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with VMware 5.5 and 6.0 Administration / Configuration / Design / Support.
    • Experience with Microsoft OS implementation / configuration / image creation for VM implementations.
    • Deploy Windows/VMware patches, hot fixes as needed.

    Hardware:

    • Strong understanding of storage architectures.
    • Experience with storage administration (DAS / NAS / SAN) as well as connectivity (FC / FCOE / iSCSI / NFS) is required.
    • NetApp storage experience is a plus.

    Education/Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or at least 5 years of relevant hands on experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    • 2+ years’ experience with cloud computing on Azure.
    • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and/or Azure certifications preferred.


    Language Ability:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

    Math Ability:

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other report writing and project planning software. Experience working in an ERP environment is desirable.
