  • Overview

    Performs planning, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of the company’s on-premise and cloud based hybrid infrastructure.  Provides Level II/Level III support for all relevant systems as needed.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. The Company reserves the right to add to, delete, change or modify the essential duties and responsibilities at any time.   All work is to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with Company standards.  Other duties may be assigned.


    • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in the review and selection of backup systems with respect to disaster recovery. Including planning and selecting software providers, etc.
    • Evaluates current systems and computer needs and purchases.
    • Assists in the selection of appropriate systems hardware and software.
    • Setup and configure physical and virtual server hardware, components, accessories and peripherals.
    • Manage user accounts, groups, roles, and security on all systems.
    • Performs routine maintenance on all servers including disk space cleanup and performance tuning.
    • Provides support for problems relating to the company’s servers as necessary.
    • Maintains all server room and lab environments in an organized fashion.
    • Monitor all systems and take appropriate action when issues are discovered.
    • Must be willing to travel, expected travel time is 15%
    • Must be willing to be on-call

    • Knowledge of and experience with the following technologies is essential:
      • Citrix administration and setup
      • VMWare ESX administration and setup
      • Office365 administration
      • Active Directory and Group Policies administration
      • Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 administration
      • Microsoft SQL Server administration
      • Strong working knowledge of Veeam
      • Strong working knowledge of Azure or AWS
      • Multi-Factor Authentication administration
      • IMAP, LDAP and DNS administration
      • Strong working knowledge of systems monitoring and SNMP
      • Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking
      • Microsoft SQL Server clustering and scripting a plus
      • Cisco Router and Switch configuration skills a plus
      • Cisco VOIP and VLAN configuration skills a plus
      • NetApps configuration and maintenance skills a plus


    • Administer a variety of cloud based and web based services and systems
    • Manage and maintain print queues and printing infrastructure
    • Willingness to update skills on a regular basis to keep abreast of rapidly changing technology
    • Excellent communication skills to work with clients and vendors on all support issues
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills
    • Willingness to maintain detailed systems documentation and share knowledge with other team members
    • Willingness to work with other team members to provide world class IT services in a growing and dynamic environment
    • Willingness to perform other duties and assignments as defined by the needs of the business
    • Willingness to travel up to 15%



    Bachelor degree in computer science and at least four years of relevant experience OR at least six years of relevant experience hands on experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Language Ability:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Math Ability:

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other report writing and project planning software. Experience working in an ERP environment is desirable.
