The Rebates Analyst will be responsible for maximizing returns from vendor rebate programs by overseeing the rebate creation/ submission processes, monitoring company and vendor performance against existing rebates, and identifying new rebate opportunities; this will require coordinating with PetroChoice Sales, Finance, and Pricing team members, as well as various vendor representatives. The Rebates Analyst will also work closely with various members of the Leadership Team to support ad-hoc strategic initiatives via quantitatively-oriented data analysis, generally related to margin assessment.

Bachelor's degree (BA/ BS) from an accredited four-year College or University and 2-5 years’ related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales invoices, claims receipts, and standard financial reports. Ability to understand and respond to written or spoken communication pertaining to rebates from all management levels and from Sales and Finance perspectives.
Ability to apply basic/ intermediate mathematical concepts, including basic statistical analysis (using Microsoft Excel) to calculate rebates on a per-product basis and to conduct aggregate rebates analysis and to conduct margin analysis at the corporate, regional, vendor, or customer level.
Ability to quantify current and potential rebate opportunities at the corporate, regional, vendor, or customer level, leveraging both existing data and unstructured commentary from a variety of stakeholders. Ability to conduct scenario analysis as required to evaluate potential changes to existing rebate regimes. Ability to structure and evaluate ad-hoc analysis requests in both SQL and Excel.
Previous experience or demonstrated ability to learn robust ERP software; prior experience using Epicor Prophet 21 and/ or SAP will be a strong advantage. Previous experience working with relational databases using SQL is required. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with deep familiarity using Excel to evaluate large datasets (i.e., using a wide range of math and reference functions); previous experience developing PowerPoint presentations will be a strong advantage.
