We are an industrial distribution and manufacturing company located in Philadelphia metro immediately seeking an Indirect Sourcing Specialist for work in our company headquarters. As a direct report to the SVP Strategic Sourcing and General; Counsel, the Indirect Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for developing, executing and administering indirect strategic sourcing strategies determined by organizational objectives. Utilizing an analytically based approach, the Indirect Sourcing Specialist will be involved in the RFX process, contract management, vendor management and internal stakeholder compliance to ensure best in class pricing, quality, service from our vendors and internal adherence to purchjasing processes in support of manufacturing and distribution.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university with 3+ years related experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and/or Supply Chain Management (preferably wholesale distribution); business adminstration or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven ability to design and execute sourcing activities
Strong analytical mindset and critical thinking skills

COMPETENCY:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
MATHEMATIC ABILITY:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software, Inventory software and experience working in an enterprise wide system. Experience working in an ERP environment is desirable.
