SUMMARY:
Production Planning Managers is the strategic mastermind behind efficient production. They orchestrate the flow of materials, equipment, and labor to meet customer demands while adhering to budget constraints.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include but are not limited to the following. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field or equivalent from a 4-year College and 5 plus years of experience in production planning or a similar leadership role., or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
In depth understanding of production planning principles and methodologies.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other report writing and project planning software. Proficiency in using purchasing software and tools.
