Overview

SUMMARY  

Coordinates all inbound and outbound shipments working with XOM, CSX, Exel Logistics, and Inventory Control on a daily basis.  Perform all sample testing for inbound and outbound products.  Maintain QA/QC program.  Perform all administrative duties for Logistics Service Provider (LSP) transactions.  Assists Branch Operations Manager with administrative requirements.

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. The Company reserves the right to add to, delete, change or modify the essential duties and responsibilities at any time.   All work is to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with Company standards.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Organizes, collates, scans, and archives all daily business records for the LSP.
  • Manages and orders lab supplies as needed.
  • As needed, assists warehouse and LSP personnel to accomplish daily operations (this would include assisting with repackaging, unloading trucks and railcars, loading trucks, inventory counts, and customer pick-ups)
  • Maintains Daily Boiler Log.
  • Assists IT with computer and program related issues for Charleston.
  • Schedules all inbound railcars and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Researches rail demurrage charges.
  • Coordinate all inbound bulk trucks.
  • Prepares inbound railcar and truck paperwork including creating sample and tank labels
  • Coordinates outbound trucks.
  • Monitors inventory levels and demand and works with inventory control to ensure product availability.
  • Maintains Inbound Railcar and Truck Spreadsheet.
  • Receives and inputs LSP orders into P21.
  • Maintains OTTA: including monthly analysis and reports.
  • Provides copies of C of A’s for outbound trucks.
  • Collects samples and gauges tanks as needed.
  • Manages LSP sample retains.
  • Maintains Tank Certifications and Tank Status Report.
  • Performs QC testing on Lab Equipment.
  • Maintains Laboratory logbooks.
  • Calibrates and maintains all lab equipment as required to ensure proper operation.
  • Performs all testing for inbound and outbound products (tanks, railcars, trucks and additional testing as required).
  • Determines whether or not product meets specifications and authorizes or rejects product to be shipped, offloaded, or removed from locked status.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess highly advanced PC skills including training and knowledge of various software packages.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business records and reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, vendors, or the general public.
  • Must be fluent in written and oral use of the English language. Fluency in both English and Spanish may be a requirement at some Facilities as determined by local demographics.
  • Must be precise, conscientious, and meticulous in recording and maintaining accurate laboratory data functions.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and at least three (3) year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATH ABILITY:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other report writing and project planning software.
